New online course: Peace and Conflict Studies

The University for Peace (UPEACE) is pleased to offer the online course on “Peace and Conflict Studies; The Foundation Course”.   This is a 10 weeks course, from 4 October to 10 December 2010. The course will be delivered by UPEACE faculty members: Dr. Amr Abdalla and Dr. Victoria Fontan.

This course is offered for 3 academic credits or for a UPEACE training certificate. It focuses on understanding the complex and interconnected challenges to peace, as well as the need for different approaches to meeting these challenges.

In today’s world there is a vast need for this kind of knowledge and practice, the course will interest individuals from a broad range of disciplines and professions, especially those who have a great interest in peace and conflict studies. 

The Foundation course on Peace and Conflict Studies will enable individuals who cannot come to the UPEACE campus, to gain new qualifications and skills.  For more information on the course you can visit http://www.upeace.org/elearning/courses/.
